The difference

Longest running is not the same as winning.

Every tool sorts by it. It is the number that lies.

Which ad-research signals each tool exposes, and why each one matters

  • Foreplay, Atria… I've tried them all. But Brandsearch gives me brands killing it and their ads, angles, landing pages. It's like stealing their entire strategy and keeping track of everything.

  • Spectre and the ad library alone is worth 10x the subscription. Seeing what angles actually run long-term = cheat code.

Before you ask.

What is in the index?

12.7M ecommerce brands and 249M ads and organic posts behind them: 97.4M Meta ads, 62.6M TikTok ads and 89.1M Instagram posts. For each brand you also get its products, its estimated revenue, its traffic split by country, its tech stack and the landing pages it runs. Google ads are not indexed.

How is this different from an ad spy tool?

An ad library shows you the creative and stops. Here every ad is attached to the store that paid for it. You can see what it sells, what it makes, which of its products are moving and which pages it sends traffic to. Every ad is read by a model for its angle, its audience and the desire it works on. You are not choosing an ad because it looks good; you are choosing it because the store behind it is making money.

Where do the revenue numbers come from?

They are estimates, and we say so everywhere they appear. A store's monthly revenue is modelled from its traffic against a 1%–5% conversion band, so you get a floor and a ceiling rather than a single figure. Treat it as an order of magnitude, not an accounting number. The one hard figure in the product is EU/UK ad spend, which is not our estimate at all: Meta is required to disclose it for ads served in the EU, and we surface what they publish.

What does Ad Rank actually measure?

How an ad performs against the other ads from the same brand, rather than against the whole index. A top-1% ad is a brand's own best creative out of everything it is running. That is the comparison worth making, because a global leaderboard just ranks budgets: the biggest spender wins every time and you learn nothing about which of their ideas worked.

Can I track a competitor over time?

Yes. That is Spectre. Put a brand on watch and it keeps a running record: revenue a day, active ad count, the 7-day trend, every new creative and every new landing page as it appears, with alerts when something starts. Landing pages, ad scripts and email flows are kept on file per brand, so you can see what a store tested and what it dropped.

Is there an API?

Yes, plus an MCP server, so you can point Claude or any other model straight at the index and ask it questions in plain language. Same data as the app: brands, products, ads across Meta, TikTok and Instagram, with the brand-side metadata attached. Anything you can filter in the interface you can query over the API.

Do I get support?

Join the Discord for real-time help, or open a ticket from inside the platform. There is no tier that removes support.

Can I cancel at any time?

Yes. No contract, no cancellation fee. Annual plans are 20% cheaper than monthly and include unlimited Spectre.
