This blend is made using traditional field-drying methods, offering you a more cost-effective option while maintaining excellent nutritional value. It has lovely long, crunchy strands and has a mixture of fuller rougher Timothy seed heads, as well as a mix of Rye (Cotswold Sweet) and Fescue Grass. The majority of this mix is Timothy Hay. This hay is ideal for digestion and teeth maintenance in your pet as it contains long, coarse strands. Our Timothy blend has a diverse variety of seeds which makes it the hay of choice you would want your pet to have a balanced diet and encourage their natural foraging instincts. Our Timothy Blend/Meadow Hay is a coarse cut so is best suited to pets who enjoy a crunchy hay or need to wear down their teeth. Guinea pigs and smaller animals usually prefer our Silky soft or Cotswold Sweet hays for bedding liners or hay piles however would still enjoy this hay to keep their teeth in check. Silky Soft Hay is a versatile, high-quality hay featuring a fragrant blend of grass varieties that small pets readily consume. Harvested as a second cut, it offers a softer texture, making it not only an excellent nutrition source but also an ideal option for creating comfortable, cosy bedding. Our silky soft hay is a combination of Timothy, Rye Grass and Fescue - similar to our meadow hay! The thing that sets our silky soft apart is the grass has been cut later in the season before the strands are fully formed which gives it a soft touch and silky appearance. Our Guinea pigs love this hay and so do many of our brand reps. It is a great part of a balanced diet for guinea pigs, rabbits and other small animals. It is also good for burrowing, hiding and playing in.
