The Ghost Whale Organizer Pouch features a curved L-shaped opening with a #3 YKK Coil zipper. This allows you to zip the pouch open / access contents on just the narrowest side or zip it fully open, almost clamshell style (but not fully clamshell, lest your stuff tumble out of the pouch). We took two requests in particular during the design process — a bit more depth more access to / visibility of what’s inside the pouch — and applied that to our existing requirements: Must have a snaphook so it can clip to the O-rings inside our larger bags. Must be as useful as our existing Organizer Pouches. Can make efficient use of small sections of scrap fabric. What we came up with is an organizer pouch that features a curved L-shaped opening with a #3 YKK Coil zipper. This allows you to zip the pouch open / access contents on just the narrowest side or zip it fully open, almost clamshell style (but not fully clamshell, lest your stuff tumble out of the pouch). Our Organizer Pouches are made with scrap fabric. Though we utilize our Tetris skills to make the most out of every marker some resulting scrap fabric is inevitable. All but the smallest of these scraps are rolled, secured with a rubber band, and stored until it’s time for us to make new Organizer Pouches. And when it’s that time, we pull rolls, take them over to our die-press, pull the appropriate die from our die wall, and have at it. Sizes Super Mini Fits really small items. Small Fits slightly larger small items and is especially useful for carrying pens/pencils/markers, reusable utensils, cords and cables. Description The non-medical V4 Mask is a two-layer mask. Most (but not all) people will find they can open their mouths really wide without this mask slipping off the nose or above the chin. It features soft & comfortable adjustable ear loops and a lanyard for convenient wear. The new nose bridge in the Flannel V4 Mask design is seamless and sits at a slight recess behind the rest of the mask; this design may work better for folks who’ve found it difficult to find a cloth mask that prevents their glasses from fogging. The Flannel V4 Mask is made with two layers of 100% Cotton Flannel that’s OEKO-TEX Certified. If you’re wondering why we’ve chosen flannel (no, it’s not because we’re based in Seattle!) here’s the scoop: We were honored to play a very small role in a recently published research study: Filtration Efficiencies of Nanoscale Aerosol by Cloth Mask Materials Used to Slow the Spread of SARS-CoV-2 published in ACS Nano . As you can read in the acknowledgements of the study, our small role was to send fabric samples to the researchers for testing. As mask designers, we continually look forward to further research investigating potential mask materials. There’s always more we can learn; scientists and researchers are working overtime on behalf of their communities, countries, and the world on various projects related to COVID-19 and our collective human response to this pandemic. We've worked with a fabric mill on a 100% Cotton Flannel fabric for our V4 Reusable Cloth Face Masks; the design of this fabric is intended to have a chaotic web of fibers, which could create more surfaces with which aerosolized particles could interact, as indicated as a possibility in the study. Our 100% Cotton Flannel is produced in an OEKO-TEX Certified fabric mill. Please note that this is not a medical grade fabric. Our innovative ear loop and neck lanyard material is comfortable, conforming, and stretchy — but it’s not the scratchy elastic that’s typically found on masks. Even when worn around the ears, we (and others) find our material to be quite comfortable for longterm wear. As we mentioned, the ear loops and neck lanyard are both adjustable; you can shorten or lengthen them. We find the neck lanyard to be a convenient feature when we go out for walks. If no other people are around, we can let the mask hang around our neck and against the sternum; if we see another person coming our way, it's easy to very quickly grasp the ear loops (without touching the fabric of the mask) and put the mask on. Your mask will arrive with a metal nose piece inserted into the slot that can be bent to conform your mask over your nose. By leaving the nose bridge slot open on both ends, we’re giving you the option of customizing the nose bridge to work best for you — you can replace the included metal piece with a different nose bridge material if you’d like a softer or firmer fit. We also recommend washing your face masks in a reusable mesh laundry bag; this will prevent the ear loops from getting caught on other stuff in the washer and dryer and will help protect your mask. Measure from the bridge of your nose to the point of your chin. Choose Small/Medium if you measure LESS than 4.5” / 115mm Choose Medium/Large if you measure MORE than 4.5” / 115mm And if you measure exactly 4.5" or have facial hair, we recommend choosing the Medium/Large size. The ability to adjust the fit of the mask also means that some folks may be able to make a larger size than normal work for them. For example, the best size mask for for a person whose face measures 4.25” is the Small/Medium, but they can likely wear a Medium/Large with a good secure fit by tightening her ear loops. Of course, at TOM BIHN, we're somewhat perfectionists: we make sure the webbing of our Absolute Shoulder Strap is our own top quality nylon webbing, which lasts and looks better longer than the standard polypropylene. For the snaphooks, we use lightweight, durable plastic hooks – the same as on our Standard and Simple Straps – to keep the total weight down and make sure your strap lasts as long as your bag. The Absolute Shoulder Strap with Snaphooks is designed to work with any bags (ours that have D-rings or equivalent hardware). Bags that accept the Absolute Shoulder Strap include the Aeronaut 45, Aeronaut 30, Tri-Star, Western Flyer, Empire Builder, Cadet, Maker's Bag and Yeoman Duffel. The Standard Shoulder Strap has a .25" / 6mm texturized rubber pad making it a good choice for those looking for some comfort but not needing the over-the-top comfort of the Absolute Strap. It is most often used with our Packing Cube Shoulder Bag . The 1" Gatekeeper Shoulder Strap is a simple and light-duty shoulder strap made of 1" nylon webbing. It is adjustable and does not have a pad. It attaches via Gatekeeper clips at each end. This strap was included with a prior iteration of the Side Kick and can currently be used with the Handy Little Thing Size 1 and Size 2 .
