PiPiADS Review: What 30,000 Credits Buy

See what PiPiADS costs per look. $49 buys 30,000 credits, and opening one ad costs 20 of them. Then six live stores, run on the questions it answers.

Prices and credit rules read off pipiads.com/en/pricing on 12 September 2026, with a flash sale countdown running. The Ad opens column is arithmetic, not a quote: PiPiADS charges 20 credits to open one item's details, so 30,000 credits is 1,500 opens if you spend nothing on anything else.

That last sentence is the whole review. PiPiADS is a good TikTok ad library with a metered door, and almost every review of it was written before August 2025, when the meter replaced the old daily limits. Below is what the plans actually buy, then the six research questions a TikTok ad spy tool exists to answer, run on six live stores with a screenshot for every number. For the same research run as a workflow rather than as a review, see how we find viral TikTok ads for a niche.

What PiPiADS is

PiPiADS describes itself as an "AI-powered TikTok & Facebook Adspy & Ad Library For Winning Ads" and ships eight modules: Ad Search, Ad Library, Ad Tracker, Image Search, Advertiser Analytics, Product Search, Store Search and a set of AI tools. Its homepage claims more than 1,000,000 advertisers; its pricing page says 300,000.

It is not a minor player. In our own harvested Google results for "tiktok ad spy" on 12 September 2026, pipiads.com held the first organic position, ahead of TikTok's own Ads Spy page, BigSpy and Minea. If you are researching TikTok creative and you type the obvious query, PiPiADS is the first thing you meet.

The pricing change most reviews predate

On 1 August 2025 PiPiADS split its customers in two. Anyone who subscribed before that date is on what it calls 1.0v (Starter, VIP and PRO) with fixed daily usage quotas, and those plans are closed to new signups but still renew. Everyone new is on 2.0v, which drops daily limits and meters everything with credits instead.

The rules, in PiPiADS' own words on that page: a list query "consume 1 Credit per returned item (e.g., 20 items consume 20 Credits)", and "Viewing a single item's details (including pop-ups and ad details) consumes 20 Credits". Credits are issued monthly, do not roll over, and are cleared at reset. A 2.0v account can also only be signed in on one device at a time.

None of that is hidden, and none of it is in the reviews currently ranking for this query, because most of them describe the daily-quota plans that no new buyer can subscribe to.

The credit maths nobody runs

Take the loop you actually do. You run a search, the tool returns a page of 20 ads, you scan them and open three that look interesting. That is 20 credits for the list plus 60 for the three detail views, so 80 credits a loop.

  • Basic, 30,000 credits: 375 loops a month, about 12 a day
  • Advanced, 100,000 credits: 1,250 loops a month, about 41 a day
  • Enterprise, 1,000,000 credits: 12,500 loops a month

Those are workable numbers for one operator on Advanced and tight ones on Basic, and that is the number that matters, not the feature list. If you research in bursts, a single afternoon of serious digging on Basic can eat a week of budget, and unused credits do not carry into next month to make up for a quiet one.

How we tested this

A review that only reads a pricing page is half a review. So we took the six questions a TikTok ad spy tool is bought to answer and ran each one against a live store in Brandsearch, which indexes 223M ads across Meta and TikTok and 13.7M stores (9M Shopify). One question, one store, one screenshot, every figure visible in the image beside it.

We are not claiming anything about what is inside PiPiADS' index, because we cannot photograph it. What follows is what a complete answer to each question looks like, so you can judge which parts you are getting for $49.

1. Poppin Candy: is the advertiser actually a real business?

See Poppin Candy in Brandsearch

Poppin Candy revenue and active ads in Brandsearch, showing about $52.5k a day and 144 of 225 active Meta ads

The first question about any ad you find is whether the advertiser is worth copying. Poppin Candy is a Chesterfield, UK candy store, five years old, on Shopify, with 2k Trustpilot reviews at 4.3, and Brandsearch classes it as dropshipping. Its store description calls it "the world's fastest growing online candy store, as seen on TikTok, Instagram, YouTube & Facebook".

The card above prices that claim. Revenue reads about $52.5k a day on 305.9k monthly visits, down 8% over the month but up 41% over six. On the right, 144 of 225 Meta ads are live and the active count is up 53% in a month, against €20.3k of disclosed EU spend.

An ad library shows you the creative. It does not tell you the advertiser behind it turned a candy pick-and-mix into a seven-figure-a-month store, or that they have just scaled their live ad count by half in thirty days, which is the signal that the creative is working.

Check any advertiser's revenue and ad count before you copy their creative

2. Chemical Guys: which ad in the account is actually winning?

See Chemical Guys in Brandsearch

Chemical Guys ad rank plotted against how long each ad ran, in Brandsearch

Chemical Guys sells car detailing supplies, wax, polish and full auto detailing kits. The chart plots every ad in the account with its rank on the vertical axis and how long it has been running on the horizontal one, and the shape is the answer.

Nothing in the 7-day and 14-day columns gets above rank #25. Everything at #1 to #5 sits out at 60 days and beyond. This account's winners are old, and the new creative is not where the reach is.

The badge under each ad

A Chemical Guys ad card showing 997 of 997 ads, 127 days running and a top 1% rank badge

Each card carries the same three facts: the size of the account, how long that specific ad has run, and where it sits. Chemical Guys has 997 of 997 ads live, and the two cards visible here have been running 597 days and 127 days, both in the top 1%. A 597-day ad is not a creative to swipe. It is a signal that this advertiser found something a year and a half ago and has never needed to replace it.

3. MERIT: which opening line are they repeating?

See MERIT in Brandsearch

MERIT hooks in Brandsearch: 56 opening lines across 255 ads, ranked by how many ads use each one

MERIT is a clean, vegan, cruelty-free minimalist makeup brand. Scrolling its ad library tells you it runs a lot of ads. This view tells you what it is actually saying.

Read the header line first: 56 opening lines across 255 of the ads scanned, and a further 1,251 catalog ads whose text Meta fills in per product. That second number is the one that matters. Only 255 rows carry a written opening line and 1,251 do not, so five out of every six ads in this advertiser's count are inventory rather than a creative decision. A tool that reports the total as "ads MERIT is running" is describing a catalog feed.

What is left ranks cleanly. The lipstick line, "A lightweight, blurring lipstick that gives a sheer, soft-matte wash of color", carries 23 ads. "It's not a foundation or a concealer, but it will replace both in your makeup bag." carries 20. Then 16, 14 and 13 behind them. Repetition is the vote: a brand does not rebuild a hook 23 times unless it is working.

4. Mous: where does the traffic actually land?

See Mous in Brandsearch

Mous landing pages in Brandsearch, ranked by how many ads point at them, with 81 pages in total

Mous sells protective phone, Samsung, Pixel and AirPods cases. Its ads are easy to find. The destination is the part that decides whether the spend converts, and here the 81 landing pages behind those ads are ranked by how many ads point at each one, with the real page screenshotted.

The #1 page is the uk.mous.co homepage with 159 ads and €237k behind it. The #2 page is the eu.mous.co homepage, 122 ads and €48k. Two homepages, not two product pages, which tells you this brand is buying breadth rather than pushing one hero product.

Now look at the bottom row. The #4 page carries 90 ads and no euro figure at all. The #5 carries 84 ads and no euro figure either. That is not missing data, and mistaking it for a weak page is the most common error people make with any ad intelligence tool. There is a section on it below.

5. Liquid Death: what does the store actually sell?

See Liquid Death in Brandsearch

Liquid Death bestsellers in Brandsearch: 266 products with the top two being t-shirts

Liquid Death is "a better-for-you beverage company with water, iced tea, and sparkling energy". Its ads sell drinks. Its catalog does not agree.

Across 266 products, the two bestsellers are the Teenage Shirtbag Ringer and the Teenage Shirtbag Tee, both $35.00 and both apparel. The drinks start at #3, Subliminal Lime at $21.99, then Sinister Ginger at $14.99. The #3 product is two weeks old and the #1 is one month old, so this is a current ranking, not a legacy one.

If you had studied only the ads you would conclude this is a beverage brand buying beverage traffic. The catalog says the merch is what moves, and that is a different business to copy.

6. Flower Knows: is the organic channel still growing?

See Flower Knows in Brandsearch

Flower Knows TikTok in Brandsearch: 2M followers, up 4.6k in seven days and 26k in thirty

Flower Knows sells cute makeup, eyeshadow palettes, lip products and gift sets with dreamy packaging, and it is a TikTok-native brand: @flowerknowsglobal, 2M followers, 25.7M hearts, 801 pieces of content in this view.

The two small figures under the follower count are the ones worth having. Up 4.6k in seven days, up 26k in thirty, with the line rising from 14 August. A follower count is a snapshot that anyone can screenshot. The direction it is moving in is not, because it needs someone to have been recording since before you asked.

Be precise about what this is: TikTok in our index carries organic engagement only, followers, hearts, views and video counts. There is no TikTok rank badge and no TikTok spend figure, on our side or anyone's, because TikTok does not disclose them. Anything you read that promises TikTok ad spend is estimating.

The rank badge is worldwide. The euro figure is not.

This is the thing to understand before you pay for any ad intelligence tool, PiPiADS included, and it is why the Mous grid above has cards with a rank and no money.

Rank badges are computed across everything a brand runs, in every market. Chemical Guys' top 1% badge and Mous' #4 landing page are worldwide positions. Spend and reach are a different animal: they exist only because EU and UK disclosure rules force advertisers to publish them, so what you see is the European slice of the budget and nothing else.

So a page can rank #4 in the world with no euro figure beside it, and that is a US-funded page doing real volume, not a weak one. Chemical Guys is the same story from the other direction: look back at its ad cards and they carry a top 1% badge and a day count and no spend figure at all, because a US advertiser has nothing to disclose. Reading that blank as "this ad is not spending" gets the answer exactly backwards.

What the disclosed slice is good for

Brandsearch Discovery cards showing Tom Ford Beauty at €40.5k and SodaStream at €39.9k of disclosed EU spend

Where the disclosure does exist, it is precise and it is current. This is Discovery on its top EU spend preset: Tom Ford Beauty with 468 of 1.7k ads live, 31 days running, a Boots UK partnership tag, 3.5M reach, €40.5k total and €1.7k a day, all of it UK. Then SodaStream, 111 of 1.1k ads, 30 days, in the top 5%, 4M reach, €39.9k and €2.1k a day, all of it German.

Use the euro figures to size a competitor inside Europe and to sanity-check a daily burn. Use the rank badge, never the euro figure, to judge whether a creative is winning globally.

What PiPiADS does well

Give it its due. It owns the TikTok half of this category on search, and that position is earned: the TikTok ad library is its front door rather than an afterthought bolted onto a Facebook tool, and for finding raw TikTok creative to study it is a straightforward, fast product. Product Search and Store Search are genuinely useful to a dropshipper working product-first rather than brand-first, the Ad Tracker will watch a competitor for you on every tier, and the AI tools around transcripts and image translation solve a real chore for anyone reworking foreign creative.

At $49 it is also cheap for what it is, provided your research pattern is narrow and regular rather than bursty.

Where PiPiADS stops

Four things, in the order they will bite.

The meter is on the door, not the shelf. Every list you load and every ad you open is charged. That is a fine model until you are doing exploratory research, which is exactly when you open forty ads and keep two. Budgeting attention is a worse job than budgeting money.

It answers one of the six questions above. It shows you creative. It does not tell you the advertiser's revenue, which landing pages the spend concentrates on, how many of the "ads" are catalog inventory, what the store's bestsellers actually are, or which direction any of it is moving.

Catalog ads inflate every count. MERIT's 1,251 catalog ads are real rows in any ad library. Counted as creative, they make the brand look almost six times busier than it is, and no tool that only reports a total warns you.

One device at a time. A 2.0v account cannot be signed in on a laptop and a desktop at once. For a solo operator that is an annoyance. For a two-person team on a single Basic seat it is a second subscription.

Who should buy it

Buy PiPiADS if TikTok creative is the job, you research on a steady rhythm rather than in bursts, and you are happy to answer the store-level questions elsewhere. Advanced at $99 is the tier that makes sense; Basic's 30,000 credits run out faster than the feature list suggests.

Do not buy it expecting a store intelligence tool. It is not sold as one and it does not pretend to be. If what you actually want is the advertiser behind the ad, we have written that comparison separately in our PiPiADS alternative breakdown, and the wider category is covered in the best ad spy tools for ecommerce.

API and MCP

The Brandsearch API and MCP page

Every figure in this review came out of the same API any account can call, and the six stores above were found with this query, not hand-picked:

curl -s -H "X-API-Key: $BRANDSEARCH_API_KEY" \
  "https://api.brandsearch.co/v1/tiktok-ads/search?platform=shopify&created_from=2026-05-15\
&monthly_visits_min=250000&product_count_min=8&meta_active_min=40&max_ads_per_brand=3\
&sort_by=play_count&sort_order=desc&page_size=100"

That returned 90,749 matching TikTok ads posted since 15 May 2026 by Shopify stores running at least 40 live Meta ads, which is how the shortlist was built. The ad-level figures came from a second call per brand, with status and end_date requested so a stopped campaign never gets written up as a live one:

curl -s -H "X-API-Key: $BRANDSEARCH_API_KEY" \
  "https://api.brandsearch.co/v1/meta-ads/search?brand_ids=chemicalguys.com&status=active\
&sort_by=eu_total_spend&sort_order=desc&page_size=25\
&fields=id,status,start_date,end_date,eu_total_spend,eu_total_reach,reach_rank,total_active_time"

The same data is available over MCP, so Claude, Cursor or ChatGPT can run these queries and read the results directly.

How we did this

Pricing, plan names, credit rules and the 1.0v and 2.0v split were read off pipiads.com on 12 September 2026 in English, with the flash sale prices showing alongside list prices. We have quoted both. The credits-to-opens column is our arithmetic on PiPiADS' own stated 20-credits-per-detail rule, and it assumes you spend nothing on list results, so treat it as a ceiling.

Every Brandsearch figure is from a live capture of the app taken the same day, at 1440x900 on a regular account with beta features off. Where a number is not visible in the screenshot beside it, we have not written it. That rule cost this piece a few good lines, including the rank history on MERIT's individual hooks, which the app holds but the collapsed view does not display.

Two notes on what we deliberately did not do. We did not test the inside of PiPiADS' index or compare row counts with it, because we cannot photograph another company's database and a screenshot of ours proves nothing about theirs. And we did not quote any TikTok spend or TikTok rank figure, for us or for them, because TikTok publishes neither.

Revenue figures are monthly estimates in USD and the app shows an optimistic daily figure derived from the top of the estimate band, so the card and a conservative monthly number will differ by design. Ad spend and reach are the disclosed EU and UK slice only.

FAQ

How much does PiPiADS cost?
$49 a month for Basic and $99 for Advanced at the flash sale prices showing on 12 September 2026, against list prices of $69 and $159. Enterprise is $900 against a $1,999 list price, and a Flexible plan starts at $180 for two seats.

Is PiPiADS worth it?
If TikTok creative research is the job and you work at a steady pace, Advanced is reasonable value. If you need to know who the advertiser is, what they earn and where their traffic lands, it answers one part of a six-part question and you will end up paying for a second tool.

Does PiPiADS have a free trial?
Yes, a free tier with 500 credits. Note that the comparison table lists zero detail views on it, so you can browse lists but not open an ad's details, which is most of what you would want to evaluate.

What is a PiPiADS credit?
One credit per item returned in a list query, and 20 credits to open one item's details, including pop-ups. Credits reset monthly and unused ones are cleared rather than carried over.

Is PiPiADS better than BigSpy or Minea?
They are close on creative discovery and PiPiADS is the stronger of the three on TikTok specifically. We have written up both separately in our BigSpy alternative and Minea alternatives pieces.

Can I find TikTok ads without paying for a spy tool?
Partly. TikTok's own Ads Spy page and the Creative Center show a sample, but neither links a creative to the store behind it, which is the step that makes the research worth anything. Our own take on that workflow is in how to spot actively scaling TikTok ads.
