How to submit a takedown request

Send your request by email to contact@brandsearch.co with the subject line "DMCA Takedown Request". To let us review the request quickly, include all of the following:

  • Your full legal name, company name if applicable, email address, phone number, and mailing address.
  • A clear identification of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed. If the notice covers multiple works, include a representative list.
  • The exact Brandsearch URL or enough detail for us to locate each item you want reviewed. Screenshots can help, but they should not replace the URL or identifying details.
  • A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the disputed use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
  • A statement that the information in your notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on the owner's behalf.
  • Your physical or electronic signature. Typing your full legal name is acceptable if it is intended as your electronic signature.

What happens after we receive a notice

We review copyright notices in good faith. If a notice is complete and gives us enough information to locate the material, we may remove or disable access to the identified material while we evaluate the request. If a notice is incomplete, unclear, or does not identify the material at issue, we may ask for more information before taking action.

Please do not send copyright requests through social media, Discord, public comments, or unrelated support channels. Email is the correct channel for these requests because it gives both sides a written record.

Counter-notices

If you believe material was removed or disabled by mistake or misidentification, you may send a counter-notice by email to contact@brandsearch.co with the subject line "DMCA Counter-Notice". Include:

  • Your full legal name, email address, phone number, and mailing address.
  • Identification of the material that was removed or disabled and where it appeared before removal.
  • A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed or disabled because of mistake or misidentification.
  • Your consent to the jurisdiction of the competent court for your address, or if your address is outside the United States, to a competent court where Brandsearch may be found, and your agreement to accept service of process from the original complainant or their agent.
  • Your physical or electronic signature.

Repeat infringement

Brandsearch may suspend or terminate access for users who repeatedly upload, submit, request, or otherwise make available material that infringes copyright. We also reserve the right to remove material or restrict access where required by law, by our terms, or by a valid rights-holder request.

Misrepresentations

Copyright notices and counter-notices should be accurate and sent only by the rights-holder or someone authorized to act for them. Knowingly false or misleading notices may create legal liability. If you are unsure whether you own the rights or whether the use is legally permitted, consult a lawyer before sending a notice.
